Experience ninja training in Kumagawa-juku, a historic post town along the old highway leading to Kyoto.
Step inside a small 150-year-old Japanese house filled with hidden tricks and mechanisms, just like a real ninja residence. Dressed in traditional Japanese kimono, even beginners can learn practical sword-handling techniques, proper etiquette, and traditional movements through careful and attentive instruction.
Your host is also a woodcarving artist, and inside the ninja dojo you can admire authentic Japanese wooden sculptures. Be sure to take a look at these impressive works during your visit.
