Learn about traditional Japanese light and fragrance with a visit to a "wa-rosoku" (Japanese candle) workshop and a hands-on "nioi-bukuro" (scented pouch) making experience.
Wa-rosoku are made from different materials than Western candles, creating a unique flickering flame. After learning about the candle-making process, you will have the opportunity to experience their gentle illumination firsthand.
Following the workshop tour, you can blend traditional Japanese fragrance ingredients to create your own original scent. The nioi-bukuro can be carried in a bag or worn to enjoy the aroma wherever you go.
The workshop also has a shop where you can purchase fragrance materials and wa-rosoku as souvenirs.
